Hello. I'm Angelica
My journey began on a path to becoming a medical doctor, but after struggling with various health challenges, I was drawn to explore alternative healing. This led me to Peru in 2015, where I discovered the transformative power of plant medicines like Ayahuasca. Over time, Rose became my most cherished plant ally, guiding me through deep healing and into the work I do today. My practice is rooted in compassion, integrity, and a commitment to empowering others on their own healing journeys. I invite you to explore my story further and connect with the wisdom I've gained along the way.
My Story
I find the best understanding of anyone in the fields of healing arts or plant medicine comes from an understanding of the path they have walked, and much of this is detailed through vulnerable personal sharing of my journey with Ayahuasca, Master Plants, and eventually stepping into service in my blog.
I was raised in the central United States and from my early childhood through age 24, on a path of becoming a medical doctor and deeply immersed in rational science and Western Medicine. I struggled from age 10 with multiple mental health conditions including Asperger's, PTSD, major depression, insomnia, generalized anxiety, panic attacks, and on a physical level PCOS from my adolescence and fibromyalgia in my early 20s, and was ultimately unable to find a long lasting solution to these health struggles through Western means, this is what first brought me onto a path of exploring other options!
I was first introduced to the realms of energy work through Reiki in 2011 and eventually became deeply involved in practicing and teaching. All of my various symptoms began to at last improve and I shifted my focus from the MD path! I hit a standstill in my personal healing in 2015 and made a leap of faith to Peru based on many dreams and an intuitive calling–quitting my job, selling my car, leaving everything behind and jumping on a 1 way flight to Peru with no plan or idea of what was in store. I discovered Ayahuasca a few months after arriving and immediately dove deeply into plant medicine, sitting in about 150 ceremonies for my own healing and taking the role of an assistant before receiving a direct call to serve.
At this point I began a traditional Shipibo apprenticeship path, undergoing to this day roughly 600 days of strict traditional plant Dietas, as well as working extensively with the Huni Kuin and Yawanawa tribes of Brazil. For anyone reading this unfamiliar, a Dieta is a period of complete isolation and very restricted food diet where 24/7 of the time is spent in intense focus and meditation with any number of non psychoactive "teacher plants". I like to call it a "plant vipassana". This is essentially the life long traditional "university" of one serving Ayahuasca and something that does not have an end point.
I met Rose as a plant medicine after completing a few Dietas under the guidance of my Shipibo teachers, and began entering self led Dietas with Rose as I continued working with traditional master plants. Rose has become my most beloved ally, and a path I have had to navigate largely on my own because she is not native to tradition. The majority of my blog shares detail my personal work with Rose and give a glimpse into the realm and depth of transformation she facilitates, something I have found in practice to be just as deep and wide spectrum as Ayahuasca and other Master Plants.
Rose is currently the primary focus of all the work I share, and holding varying levels of space for all who are called to connect to her spirit. She has been my most profound plant teacher and has facilitated the strongest shifts in my mental/physical health, psyche, inner child, and karmic/ancestral history. She is a plant of immense depth and power coupled with grace and compassion. Rose has taught me to approach all healing work and darker qualities of energy through unconditional love, compassion, non duality, and integration and this forms the basis of my approach to own life and relationship with myself as well as the way I work with my clients.
Overall, I hold these spaces from a deeply compassionate and empathic place from all I have personally survived and witnessed, while also empowering my clients to grow in their own connection with themselves, spirit, and the plants and gently assisting in the process of coming to a place of full sovereignty and accountability for personal shadow. My values through this work are centered in integrity, honesty, authenticity, compassion, and nonjudgement.
